I think Naruto's going to get amother genius fart soon. It seems to be getting a little more iteresting. It's still not as brilliant as (I thought) it was during the Pain Invasion Arc, but hey, Kishi had genius diahrrea then and sometimes it can be tough to keep your intestines in gear on a mangaka's diet. The point is that I don't blame artists for having ups and downs because I have them too. Everyone does. Anyway, we know you're brilliant, Kishimoto-sensei! Just keep working hard!
Bakuman is just always good. Ohba-sensei is like a god IMO. The only thing that (continually) pisses me off about him/her is that I don't know who he/she is! REVEAL YOURSELF, TSUGUMI OHBA! And reveal Shizuka, too, while you're at it. I'm less interested in this encore of the Miyoshi/Takagi/Iwase love triangle than I am in finding out who the new mangaka rival is. This better be addressed in the next chapter, y'hear!?
Bleach? I don't read it. One piece? I don't read it. Have I considered reading them? Yeah. I quit Bleach at chapter 22.
I read quite a bit of Reborn! just because I love *Nire-chan's art and because Takagi (Bakuman) mentioned it in reference to gag manga. I really like it so far but I've found I can only bear to read it when I'm in a certain mood. It appears my sense of humor waxes and wanes. And not every chapter is particularly good anyway. =/
The Wallflower (AKA Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge AKA Perfect Girl Evolution) is--as I have thought ever since ~RangerKimmy brought it to my attention--kickass. I prefer the manga over the anime, though. The anime makes my eyes twitch with with the way it encourages vanity. The manga may have shittier drawings and the boys may look like pure skeleton (gross), but at least it doesn't forcefeed you the girliness. The manga just isn't as biased. It's also funnier and portrays Sunako as a much more likable character. I don't normally like shoujo, but as I did with Ouran High School Host Club, I'm making an exception for this.
Nabari no Ou (Ruler of Nabari) = most obvious Naruto ripoff ever
I have to start reading Fullmetal Alchemist again. I hear it's getting better all the time.
7th Period is a Secret is the best (and technically the only) three-shot manga I've ever read and it's a nice, sweet story for a quick read to kill some time with. I highly recommend it.
Aishiteruze Baby = most addicting manga I've ever read. Pity that it's extremely pointless.
Blue Dragon RalΩGrad: Never heard of it? I'm not surprised.
Takeshi Obata does the illustrations. If for no other reason, just read it for the great drawings. I gave up on it pretty quickly myself. It's only 29 chapters long, though (got cancelled) so at least give it a shot. It might be your cup of tea.
Now, who here loves Rhythm Heaven!?
